ABOUT
Ross was born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England in 1998. He started learning piano at the age of 7, before taking his journey through ABRSM grades in 2009. In 2014, Ross changed piano tutor to Andrew Soulsby where he finished Grade 8 and also started to work on his DipABRSM. After completing his further education at Newcastle College, Ross moved to start his University studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Here he had repertoire lessons with James Wilshire and repetiteur lessons Simon Philippo. During COVID, Ross stopped his studies before moving back to Newcastle in 2021.
Since moving back Ross has been very much involved with music, playing in Musical Theatre shows in the area. He is also a freelance tutor at 1685 Piano and Harpsichord Tuition in Whitley Bay, and had the pleasure of being the accompanist for Backworth Male Voice Choir from 2022-2024.
Ross is now having harpsichord lessons with Andrew Soulsby and piano lessons with David Murray at Newcastle University.
